'cause I'm at ~440 now and I'm tired of the foreplay.

I've also got a garage full of Zaino, a matching windbreaker, driving gloves to match and a flat cap with a sneay pete inside.

I always say 500-750 then change oil and have at it. The break in miles should be done in at least 5-10 heat cycles for the engine, transmission, and differential to "season" this is critical to the longevity. FWIW.

There are actually many opinions on this but there is a thread you find if you do a search on google about this and there is a guy who actually has been doing research on this for over 25 years and he says break them in hard! Me myself I like about 100 miles then I drive them however I want as I have tried both ways and it didn't seem to make much difference. I also believe in breaking them in hard and none of my cars have ever suffered from it and usually are some of the fastest at the track to boot.
You could use my 10.92 run in my stock 08 convertible with 114 miles as a prime example.

I have had full analysis done on our 08 with first oil change at 700 miles and on a friend's 08 done at 900 miles...would DUMP the oil with all of the particulate debris now...BEFORE you "go for it"... just to be safe!!!

Have fun with your Beast!!!!!

Drive it like you stole it, make sure you engine break with it in the beginning (whatever its called)and change the oil early.

Has always worked for me :drive:

ive heard some many different things from various engine builders and Viper tuners. Some same have at it on day one, others says break it in for 1k miles and upping the rpms 500 every 200 miles starting at 3k i believe.
When I had my engine rebuilt it was a B* to do the 1k break in which I choose to go by after speaking with three different viper tuners and getting three different break in procedures. You want to put your foot in it but if proper break in increases the life of the engine then its a no brainer and either way.

I would prefer to do the 1k break in cause its not going to harm the engine or decrease life where driving to 6k on day one could decrease life but im not expert and cause the car to burn oil some which I've heard if not properly broken in.

Sold it as the economy tanked and I got laid off. Regreted it from that moment on.

Shopped around when I got a new job. Thought about a race car. I shopped a few new Vipers, wife liked this one, dealer wanted to deal wife said buy it.....It was a dumb risky decision but what the heck, you only live once and hey, I hate to argue with the wife.
