Good evening all,

Considering buying a Viper.
It would be my first.
Is this a good deal?
What do I need to know?

$24,000
Its a 2003 Viper.
37,*** miles.
1 Accident reported in 2006.
No frame damage that is known of.

I'd be curious to know more about the accident. If it wasn't anything major I'd say that's quite a nice price for that low of mileage. It appears to have a gen 4 hood on it, but nothing else really stands out to me. I think it's missing a small plastic trim piece on top of the radiator, so I'd wonder if it was a front end accident, but that trim isn't really a big deal.

The accident must be a huge factor in that price, or at least I really hope it is! It's dirt cheap. The addition of the Gen 4 hood does not put me off really, especially given that price; OK, maybe it does just a little. But that rear wing does put me off; it doesn't look like a Mopar part (I could be wrong).

ETA Oh, I see something not good. The edge of the hood is sticking up where it meets the passenger and driver side fenders, towards the rear. Do yourself a huge favor, pay for and get a first rate private inspection of the car by a specialist before you sign the papers.
