Michael;

I also have my second Viper, and both cars were close to perfect on delivery. Viper #1 was a 98' picked up at the factory and was silver. The silver was difficult to paint... long story, but the color was discontinued. The Viper was really qite perfect.

Viper #2 is yellow, and is really perfect. There can always be little imperfections. It sounds like your bumper problem needs to be checked our, and Viper service is super. They don't want anything to be less than great. The dealer should take good care of you. I am sure they will get it taken care of ASAP if it is really wrong.

If you want to see immediate improvement, but dont want to spend several hundred $$ on a B&M ripper I would suggest you check out the MGW gripper shifter at http://www.mgwltd.com/ and also the new shifter shaft at http://www.shifterparts.bigstep.com/ You can get both of those items for under $100 and it will make TONS of difference! Right now I only have the mgw shifter and it is like night and day over stock! Good luck!

I'll second that. Get a new knob from MGW first! I have a gripper and love it. Much cheaper than a short throw shifter. If that is not enough then replace the shaft too.
