Italian Gathering welcomes the VCA again!

Once again this year the Italian Gathering is welcoming it's step-brothers from the U.S. to its event in Dublin, OH!

It's a fantastic event with some of the most exotic rides on the planet- Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Fiat....all the good stuff from Euro-land.

They have enjoyed our company the last few years and would love to have us back again!
We even have our own section of parking lot right next to them! (no grass! woohoo!)

This is a charity event with all proceeds going to the Dave Thomas Foundation.

This year's featured car is the Ferrari 308, so expect to see a few Magnum, P.I. look-a-likes.
In addition to some seriously cool vehicles, there is also an auction for charity rides in some of those cars!

That's my friend Tim's '70 Mach 1. Total rotisserie restoration. He did 90% of it himself.

A very impressive 97 point concours car.

And you are probably wondering why there is a Mustang among the Vipers for the Italian Gathering? Besides Tim being a good friend to the VCA Ohio Region, a Mustang (and Vipers for that matter) at the Italian Gathering is kind of like the Kevin Bacon game...

For example:

Italian - Lee Iacocca - Ford - Mustang - Chrysler - Lamborghini - Viper - Fiat - Italian Gathering.

It's all very complicated but you all know the story.....

Not really. Had not even registered that it was for Italian cars only..... Was literally just thinking how high the fender sat.....

But thanks for the lesson on what is allowed. I will bring my truck one day as Italian = Lee Iacocca = Chrysler = Dodge = Ram = Soot on show cars.

I live here, so....I'll be in town too.

TWC just changed their forecast for Sat and Sun:
Sat: clear and sunny, high of 93F (it was a 30% chance of rain yesterday)
Sun: overcast and a 30% chance of a shower (it was 40% yesterday)
I expect some gray skies and a light mist, if anything. It's been REALLY dry here.

The 'Italian Gathering staff' is doing a dinner at a restaurant in Polaris. I may stop by Tilted Kilt after that to say hello to the ladies and cool off with an adult beverage.

Let me know if you want to meet somewhere. 6 one 4 - 5 nine 6 - 9 three three 6.

Thanks to everyone who came out today, despite the typhoon.

Approx. 10 cars and 2 Viper trucks were there with their Italian big brothers in the gray skies and rain.
HUGE props to Randall and the VCA for all the hook-ups today.
