Yep, Eric is awesome. Listens well and did a great job tuning. Used to do it myself over a decade ago, but just don't have the time to screw around with these thigns any longer. And Eric just does it a smidge better (ok, a lot better).

Pteam - needed to get a convertible because I'm 6'4" and it provides more headroom and is easier to get in/out of.

Ullose - Yep, even on the GenI the offset wasn't good on these wheels. Drove me nuts becuase I can't stand how they stick out. Since the rear end is higher (hasn't been lowered yet), the wheels seem to look like they stick out even further. I called forgeline, they say they can't do anything about. Though I love these VR! wheels so much (and they're super light weight), just can't part with them. It's not terrible, but it bugs me. Though it does give me a wider track! Note, they also made the back wheels too wide. The old 335's had to really stretch. The tires you're looking at in the pic are 355 Pirelli Rosso. Anything smaller and the tires look too small for the rim!

those are 3 piece wheels right? If you look at there web site I could almost swear they list prices to take the rims apart etc,etc. I'm no wheel guru and the wheels i bought from forgeline are not delivered yet so i can't see how they are actually made. But I thought that was the whole point of a 3 piece wheel

Luna - The 2" kit is made by a company called Northwind engineering. Roanoke motors has done them so much, they order it for their customers when they need it. The 2" makes the seat non-adjustabel horizontally, you can only adjust the tilt of the back of the seat. They do make a 1" lowering kit that retains most of the adjustability of the factory seat.

John - No biggie. Glad you liked it.

Ullose - These rims aren't three piece, most of their new ones are however. These are 1 piece forged alloy. I like the look of one piece. Though I do also like the versatility of the 3 piece, just don't see a set like I truly like yet.

Thanks for the info. My bigger question is what did they do with the modules that were under the seat? This is the first Gen to have anything under the seat so I was curious as to what they did with them.

The modules both pass and driver fit fine under the seat with the lowering kit. In fact, we mounted two JL Audio crossovers behind the factory amp under the passenger seat. If anyone would like to speak with Eric the head installer at Autowerks please feel free to call...847.498.2886

Are you kidding! After the hazing I got over my side stripes!! ;.)

powder coat the wheels black, then have just the rims painted SSG green. oh yeah! photoshop anyone?

Break out the heat gun and peel those side stickers off , everything else looks good , but those stickers look like ass..........sorry.

I absolutely love the car. I had the same stripe pattern put on my 04 and loved them. I think the vinyl on the sides though is just too much. I do have a question for you... I install paint protection film on cars and I am curious about your kit. Was the paint fully cured before they put it on the stripes? If not make sure you are VERY careful if you ever have to remove them. The film will actually lift the paint off if it wasnt cured.

Overall I think you did a beautiful job with the car. Enjoy it and keep the pics coming....

alex, those blackened rims are hot! i still think you need to either polish or paint the lips green though. polish might be best. polish the lips, black powder the centers, then clear the whole thing so you arent polishing all the time.

green calipers might be too much green though.

The black wheels with a polished lip are the way to go! Problem is that it's going to be too pretty to drive. You're going to be buying a new trailer just to haul it from show to show!

You'll find out... In fact I was talking with R&J myself at the time when I was going to paint or powder coat mine. They said it would hold up. That same week Jeremy walker I belive had his done by R&J and it was coming off. Temperature being the culprit, not sure how much hotter the GenII might gets, but Jeremy was doing them ont eh same generation. There was someone else in the group who did the same, had a bad experience, so I figured why mess with a good thing. all depends how hard you heat them up. A few of the guys (me included) absolutely kill the brakes.

Hope they hold up, they look good!

you know alex, paolo isnt far from you. if you are going to powdercoat your valve covers, you might as well go TWIN TURBO too!

If you are taking a poll, I like everything but the side stripes. The stripes are too busy and detract from the SSG color. Take the side stripes off and do the black wheels. Bob
