You would think I would remember this but I don't.

If a car is in J status and ready to go to prefix--how far along is that and how close is it to being ready to be shipped to the dealer? Thanks

Usually that's about a week or two from being all done and ready to get shipped. From there, though, it's anyone's guess. My car was totally done, sitting back at CAAP, and didn't get shipped for three months... It took a bunch of calls to get them to send it out - apparently they don't want to ship it all by itself on a truck. They need to get enough cars on the truck to make the trip worthwhile - so hopefully there are some more headed your way.

BUILT
  • I - unit is built pending final inspection
  • J - vehicle has passed final inspection: but not released to carrier unit requiring vendor work (sunroof, special package, etc.)
  • JB - shipped to body vendor
  • JE - shipped to emissions
  • JS - shipped to storage
  • KZ - released by plant and invoiced
Kind of depends on the dealer also, big Viper dealers like Woodhouse, Roanoke, Tomball the truck will fill up fast. Little dealer with one car on the way it will sit there until they have more cars to send in that direction.
And if it's an ACR it depends on the flow of the carbon fiber pieces to Prefix, but I don't think there are any problems with that at this time.

Lee: Thanks. It is an FE coupe coming from Roanoke . I guess almost everything will be shipped soon assuming parts are available.

Seeing that it's Roanoke and they are so close to the factory will Dodge allow them to p/u the car at CAAP? I've heard the dealer can do that!!
