NY/CT Family,

The July 4th weekend brings the ALMS series to our backyard at Lime Rock Park!!! :headbang: On Saturday July 6th, all SRT and all Viper owners will be able to support the SRT Viper GTS-R team by parking in the SRT & Viper Car Corral. Vipers will be parked together in the corral which is adjacent to the hospitality trailer and located inside the infield course. ;)

In addition to the opportunity to meet and greet with the factory drivers of the two SRT Viper GTS-R race cars, the first 25 cars to arrive in the SRT Car Corral on the morning of the event will be able to participate in a Parade Lap on track!

SRT is providing their SRT Hospitality experience. This includes their luxurious hospitality trailer whereby you can watch the race in comfort on the big screen. The SRT hospitality area offers a first class VIP experience in a climate-controlled lounge with food and beverages provided all-day. We'll have roof access to watch the race from atop of the trailer. This view overlooks the left-hander at Lime Rock. All day food and drink is provided. No waiting in lines with the general public. :D

(1.) To be a part of the SRT Car Corral, individuals must hold a valid general admission ticket and each participating car must be an SRT model with a $15 SRT Car Corral parking pass. General admission tickets are available at http://tickets.limerock.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=27 and the parking pass for the SRT Car Corral is available at http://tickets.limerock.com/orderti...hsubmit=&SearchText=&Go.x=&Go.y=&pg=&spg=1&c=, or by calling the Lime Rock Park Track Office at 860-435-5000. SRT Car Corral parking tickets must be purchased in advance of the race weekend.

(2.) SRT Saturday-only hospitality passes will be available and must be purchased separately for $50 each using the attached form. To order, complete the attached form and fax to 248-553-2138 or email [email protected]

(3.) NY/CT members who purchase an SRT Car Corral Parking pass will have the $15 reimbursed to them the day of the event by the NY/CT region.

The race will be televised live on Sat at 3pm on ESPN2. http://www.drivesrt.com/events/controller.html?options=117

Don't hesitate to purchase your tickets ASAP as this event will literally consume Lime Rock in a hurry!

Thanks,
Tony, Chuck, Ed and Mike

Lime Rock site states the SRT corral will be in the outfield :(

No. It was originally going to be in the outfield but SRT asked that it be moved infield with the Hospitality so its closer to the action. I posted that the Corral will indeed be located in the infield. Lime Rock is leveling the part of the infield for us. For visual reference, here's an idea of the layout. Will post a picture with the actual layout when Lime Rock completes it. By the way, its next to Autocross track we'll be using later in July. ;):

It will be on the infield now. Lime Rock is setting up a special site just for SRT. It will be situated looking at the left hander and entrance to No Name Straight

Yep, this is a really nice setup especially at Lime Rock. :headbang:

The SRT® hospitality area offers a irst class VIP experience at the track all within a climate-controlled and luxurious lounge. A live, commercial-free track broadcast feed provides guests with an uninterrupted view of the on-track happenings. For SRT owners who like to be close to the action, a birds-eye view of the racetrack can be had from the roof of the SRT hospitality trailer. Food and beverage are provided all day as part of the SRT hospitality experience.

Tickets ordered.

Is there a meeting spot to cruise in together or are we just meeting at the track?

FYI- Today is the last day to buytickets at the reduced Advanced Pricing rate. You have until 5:00 p.m. today(June 28) if you call (860.435.5000), and until midnight tonight to purchase online. You can save a lot of moneyby doing this.
-The ALMS weekend always includes a lot of Fan Activities, and this year thereare two additional new ones on top of the SRT Fan Forum on Friday, the PirelliWorld Challenge Autograph session (also Friday), and Saturday’s ALMS DriverAutograph session and pre-race Fan Grid Walk.

Thefirst new Fan Activity is the Rob Dyson “Roast” Fridaynight. Rob and his Dyson Racing team – including his son Chris, who isas fast as Dad was – have been sports car and prototype champions and racewinners since the 70s. Rob doesn’t even know it yet, but his family and all theracing friends he knows are putting him on the hot seat Friday at 6:15 p.m., atthe Harpoon Tavern on the Infield Spectator Hillside. Chris and the team’s PRguru, Brian Wagner, have also invited you, the fans, to join in the Roast. Thisshould be a hoot, come on over!

The secondnew one is the appearance of the famous-and-getting-famouser SimsBarber Shop. Sims is Steve Vilot, and he’s the guy everybody wasfreaking-out over during the ESPN Winter X-Games in Aspen, Colo. He wasshavin’ and cuttin’ everyone from competitors and fans to celebrities, and thepeople were loving it! (Click here for a video from there.)

Thisis the guy that also does all the beard-and-hair work on the Boston Bruins, hewas a star at Occupy Boston (photo gallery), and the organizers of Bonnaroo, America’scoolest, biggest, gotta be there music and arts festival (every June inManchester, Ky.) brought Steve down to wow the crowd and bands.

Here’sour call to action to you: Show us your heads!

That’s right, send to [email protected]a low-resolution photo of your hair and head and tell us why we should pick YOUto have Steve do some “Lime Rock” carving on your noggin next weekend!

Think fast!

I am in. I did check , and it seems they are NOT accepting YELLOW Vipers in the Coral at this time.

They are trying to have the "best looking car coral on the field"

Waxed up and ready to go. Is everyone just going up on their own tomorrow? What time are people getting there?

GREAT pictures Ed, thanks for posting. Looks like a fun time.

absolutely, it was a blast, despite the heat... cheers to SRT for getting the hospitality truck set in a great spot... it was a cooling haven out there and great viewing from the upper deck.

hope to see everyone back at Lime Rock in a few weeks for our Autocross and Skid pad day :2tu:
