Just changed my O2 because of hesitation...do I have to reset computer?

Hello, I am trying to get rid of my hesitation on cold start. I just changed my 2nd upstream O2 sensor. Do I have to reset my computer by unplugging the battery for like 10 minutes? I unplugged the battery when I was still having the hesitation so maybe the hesitation got programmed into the computer? Nevertheless, I still have the hesitation after changing the MAP, and 2 O2 sensors. Any ideas? It goes away after I slam the gas for a few seconds? Also, for some reason, I'm down about 100HP according to my GTECHPRO.

Also, I know my car is running very rich still. When I am coming to a stop and I have her in second gear, she backfires a lot, is this normal?

Let your car relearn, give a few days.. Run it with your A/C on... Have you cleaned your plugs 0r replaced them? They are probably fouled if you had bad 02's.

I put new plugs in maybe a month ago. I have no A/C. It was taken out by the previous owner. What does running the A/C do?

Cool the car off...hehehe (sorry, I couldn't resist).

They may have removed it for weight savings. When mine went out in my twin turbo Mustang, I yanked it to clean up the engine compartment and lighten the load. In that case, all of the various stuff weighed like 30 pounds. And the condenser blocked airflow to the radiator (condenser was wedged in between the intercooler and radiator).

Read carefully. It's pretty simple really. If you're 02's were on the fritz, your plugs are probably fouled as it fattened your A/F and dumped all kinds of fuel in the chambers. CHECK THEM AND CHANGE IF NECESSARY. Riding with A/C on help the car relearn the paramaters faster...
