Almost afraid to ask, but I am really curious. It seems that no one who has had their engine rebuilt by Arrow, (especially the Gen 1 engines is what I am curious about), has posted anymore problems. I hope this is true, but would love to hear any comments.

Roland,

4 of the 9 vipers that I drive with are GEN 1 cars. Only one has been shipped of to Arrow for a rebuild TWICE! Sean Roe's.

Some gen 1 years are prone to head gasket leaks, due to bad designed head gasket. Now there is a new and improve gasket for gen 1 cars that fixes the problem.

The engine went to arrow once for complete rebuild due to head gasket leak. comes back with a full 1 year warantee on engine, if extended warantee is about to expire. The problem was they put the the old style gasket back in the car, (OPPS!!)and about a month before the 1 year arrow warantee was up, the head gasket leak was back. Went back to arrow for second time, he just got it back and on the road recently.

Give Sean a call, he is an expert on this, and other areas also.

I'm going thru engine coolant like mad, no drips anywhere. Smell of coolant hood open or closed. First noticed it when breaking in my rebuild when it started to run real hot when it was 40 degrees outside. Both the coolant reservoir and overflow were empty

I have since also had to refill the overflow fascia bottle again!!
