It does not work that way unfortunatly.

All you did was increase the amount of fuel going into the motor accross your entire power band.

The only way to properly tune your car is to get some sort of fuel/ignition management.

I agree with Russ M. Without checking your air/fuel ratio, you don't even know whether you need more fuel. If you do, then a fuel/ignition management system will allow you to add fuel. This can be done by increasing fuel pressure or by increasing injector pulse width (a la Vec2). If you find that you still can't get enough fuel by increasing pulse width because you are already at maximum recommended duty cycle, then going from Gen 1 injectors (26lbs/hr) to Gen 2 injectors (30lbs/hr) may help. I'm taking in my 1994 RT/10 tomorrow to do just that.

There is only about a 15% difference in flow. The car will try to adjust a/f in closed loop and it will try to learn the new injectors. In open loop there is no adjustment via the O2 sensors. It is not all bad, since these cars run lean in low/midrange, that will improve. The problem is the high rpm range already runs rich, therefore, it will run richer hurting top end hp. The answer is the VEC2.

It will self-learn, but I would reset the PCM to hasten the process.

BTW, the Gen2 injectors are a closely guarded secret for Gen1's with extensive headwork. You car is running too lean w/o them. I think you will be pleasently surprised with the hp and tq the Gen2 injectors free up.
