My new red SRT-10 just arrived. It is # 551. Went to the
dealer last night to look it over. They are prepping the
car today and I will pick up later.

I have to say it is a beautiful car, and I am excited.
However, I also must say I don't have the same feeling
or excitement that I did the day I picked up my 2001
Yellow GTS. It still turns me on every time I look at
it.

The SRT-10 appears to be the girl you take home to mom,
but the Yellow GTS was the one from college that you
can never forget.

Same here; I HAD TO HAVE my '93 and still have it. Then when Yellow came out in the GTS, it was much the same thing. The '03 just does not bowl me over, but I have to say I think it is a better car. There is a powerful teutonic and asian influence in this car, for better and for worse.

Lyn: That was a perfect way to describe the new SRT10. That is why I probably will resell it if I take it and keep my GTS.

I think I'd like to add a bit to this comment:

The SRT is the girl you took home to mom because she dressed the part..... but behind those innocent looking tortoise shell large frame glasses was an even more exciting, absolutely agressive hot babe! She just was MORE sophisticated (better engineered!) so she knew how to "play the part" for "family acceptance"! ..... and that my friends ... becomes "the keeper"!

Lyn,

I would be careful in letting the dealer prep your car! I am speaking of them washing it and detailing for you. I know that the wash guy is not going to use the right towels and soaps that you would use nor dry it with 100% cotton towels. My .02c

Have fun

I think I hear what you're saying. She's meeting mom and dad wearing the glasses, long wool skirt, loose sweater, and hair in a bun.

But, once you get her alone in your room, underneath all those clothes is...... a Victoria's Secret cover girl, and **** star all wrapped up in one package!!!!!!

Does the "long wool skirt" and "glasses" come off of the SRT/10 ? And if so, what are your suggestions

What's really funny is that we put the SRT next to the Comp Coupe and looked at them side by side. It's remarkable how similar they are and when separated, how different they appear. I agree that the SRT does not hold the visual impact that the RT-10 and GTS did. I can't help but thinking that just a few small tweaks would make it as stunning as the originals. When Dodge does finally cut an SRT Coupe loose, look out. By me, the Comp Coupe is one of the 3 most beautiful cars ever designed. Just my .02.

Here
Russ,
Completley agree! I have two models of the GTS-R (Comp Coupe) here in my office. All I can think is how amazing the design is. I hope that when I get closer to purchase, they have a coupe in the forecast.

One quesiton, do you think they would do a cert program for a coupe issue of the SRT?
