Some people said it wouldnt fit because of the top posts, but it does. The top posts are more low profile than other batteries. I didn't realize Sears made an AGM in both Gold and Platinum line batteries until more research. The Platinum was a higher profile and doesnt look like it would have fit. Here are some pics..

Just jack up the back and take the driver's side wheel off. Take out the panel behind the wheel (there are about 10 screws to take it off) which are in the well and underneath. Remove the battery plate that holds the battery in and then swap them out. Very easy if you have a jack and jack stand. Make sure you chock the front wheels.

I installed a new Platinum DieHard in my 06 about a year ago & it's the best battery I've ever used. I believe it's a 900 cca. with 8 year wty. Cost about $200.00 A Viper absolutely needs a strong Battery.

rsmitchell10, consider joining the VCA...if only so that you can access the "Illustrated Upgrades" section where there are complete guides and solutions to many maintenance, repair, and upgrade situations...including the battery installation and tray cleanup directions.
