My second ACR had the exact same build date as my first and if I recall two hrs. apart. Same exact car in every detail and option. Sometimes things happen for a reason, believe me I reflected on it for a long time as I'm sure you will. Don't worry you will find the same car.

I am so sorry to hear about your accident. Glad that you are Okay that is what is most important. I hope that everyone that reads this post acts on their own insurance policy right away. Agreed Value policies are VERY different from Stated value policies. I lost one Viper myself. Nationwide treated me well but I believe that was because I had a few houses with them as well as several vehicles and two businesses. Many people are not that lucky with their insurance. Don't forget you can buy back the salvage for a very reasonable (negotiable) price. Then you may be able to sell parts yourself to recover any losses you may have.

Good luck, this is always a painful process. You have friends here.

I will probably need both of their help. Thanks

Contact Jon B before you enter negotiations with the insurance company. His advise is invaluable. When I wrecked my gen 2 ACR I also talked to Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse. I got a great settlement.

Just came from the body shop I had my car towed to. The brake reservoir was empty! I'm not crazy after all. I never had to add brake fluid
to it.

Syn, you don't have any ex-girl friends with an axe to grind do you. Or, maybe an ex-wife with a Big ole' insurance policy. Just Sayin'!

Not sure where it went yet. Checked wheels and didn't see anything on them. I do remember seeing some type of fluid
dripping down at the accident scene approx. where the master cylinder and fluid reservoir are, although you would think it would be
at one of the calipers. I will look again next time I get back there.

Synfull,
So sorry to hear about your accident but of course glad no one was seriously injured. My wife cut the article about the accident out of last week's newspaper and so I was wondering what caused the accident and who was involved. I hope you get a reasonable settlement and are back on the road with a Viper soon.

Wait , how can you not know if your car has ABS or not and if you locked up the tires or not? Also if you have a brake fluid loss/leak , the pedal would have gone to the floor , huge *** feeling when ******* the brakes. You would remember this. Also when you see a pool of fluid under your car , don't you do a push up and give it the finger test???
Not to get under your skin , but these things are basic..........

Ar come on, did you not read the latter part of the first post, the guy was in shock, he went to hospital had 13 stitches in his elbow, had cut his head, and I guess with trafic stopped in both directions and bits of your car all over the highway and other injured parties I doubt if he was thinking straight, Its easy to say these things after the event, cut the guy some slack.

The brake fluid angle is an interesting mystery. They had to have been tested the two miles from the gym to the accident.

Coming up over a hill and then hitting the brakes is a thrill to say the least. If anyone wants to try it safely do Road Atlanta sometime.

Actually the 13 stitches were to the cut over his eyebrow. That is a significant hit to the head.

Adjuster came today and determined car is totaled. I assumed that's what was going to happen. Now I will have to wait and see what they offer.
Got the stitches out today also. Talked to Jon @ Partsrack and Bill @ Pemberton also and they were helpful. I am going to check the car tomorrow and see if I can find
where the failure was.
Thanks for all the responses and "condolences"

I feel you pain buddy. I parked mine between some trees in Arkansas couple weekends ago. Bought a new one today though. :) First red, now green, maybe yellow next time just so I can say I covered the full traffic light spectrum.
