^^^^ That's exactly what I did... You also keep the stock look (if that's what your after) as well....

K&N drop in filters and smooth tubes are good for a few extra ponies (for a quarter of the price). I don't think the open intake system yields much more power on the Viper, unless you want the look of the exposed cones filters.

I already have the smooth tubes and the flat k&n filters, I am looking to have the open look and I think it sounds a little better when you have cone filters on
