I have noticed a number of posts regarding disconnecting the battery to reset the computer for more aggressive driving and remapping for higher horsepower. I installed K & N airfilters today. The installation requires the battery disconnect. If this potentially "resets" the computer and assuming most people drive aggressively after the filter swap, how do I know that any power gains are from the filters and not just the computer reset? K & N claims 14 HP.
Also, I checked carefully for airleaks and everything is fine but under heavy throttle the engine stumbled twice. Is this normal? Is this part of the computer reset?
