K+N \"Fixes\" Flashing whistle SRT-10 Snorkels

Thanks to SnakePilot John, who provided a detailed desription to us on his problem and fix, we were able to show K+N the issue on the "whistle" that many of you experienced on the new double-snorkel KN Intake. All future production from this date will have the flashing corrected at the factory.

(This will also delay new shipments about a week)

Would I still check the 45-degree tupe for a clean opening and tube? You bet !

Re: K+N

Jon.
Looks like we double teamed them. I spoke to Bert Heck, K&N's Perfomance Kit Supervisor, and Dino. They both agreed to inspect, and drill as necessary all units in stock. They will also contact their plastic supplier, and give them new specifications for future runs. This is a great tribute to the open communications provided by this forum. Without feedback from our forum they would have happly gone on producing the same unit.
As a follow up, and to assure quality, they have requested a member supply them with an 03 or 04 to re test. They will provide a free before and after dyno, and probably offer the car owner a no charge kit. (Check with them first)
If you are in the Riverside Ca. area, and are interested give Bert a call at (909) 826-4000 or www.knfilters.com

Re: K+N

Thanks for the credit Jon, but I know there were other folks involved in calling K&N directly (as did I) plus your direct involvement, which I believe did the trick.
In any event, "all is well that ends well"! :2tu:
