Ok this is the stupidest thing anyone has probably asked help with, but i need help. I lost the one and only key to my beautiful car!!!! Ive looked high and low for it any cant find it anywhere. I was planning on making more copies, but when i went to get the key i couldnt find it. So that never happened. I need to get a key, but how and where. I would like to drive my car again. I was going to call the dealer and ask, but there closed for the next 2 days, so i decided to ask on here first. Your help would be ah helpful! lol Thanks everyone

You'll probably have to get new keys and lock cylinders, as well as new key fobs from the dealer.

You'll prob have to wait until your dodge dealership opens again. If you can provide proof of ownership (title, insurace card, photo ID, etc) they should be able to cut you a key from your VIN #.

Since when? A simple VIN # and verification will suffice to get a new key.

nope, just a VIN #, but will require extensive documentation to prove you actually own the car.

Oh and if they don't happen to have the $100 "viper" key in stock, just use a 97-02 ram/dakota key. It won't have the fancy snake head but will work just fine in the car.

And, later, you can get a more reasonably priced Viper-head key on eBay

Since the where abouts of the key is unknown and could be in someone else's possession.
