You could install Eibach's, which would lower the ride height one inch...better spring rates than stock, escpecially with the variable spring rates in the rears...

Getting larger rims 18',19 or 20' would have no impact on the ground clearance. As the rim gets bigger the tire profile gets thinner, thus no impact.

With less tire height, is the ride harsher? I have an opportunity to upgrade my '94 GT/10 from stock 17" rims and Pilot MXX3 tires to 18" or 19" rims. JonB says the 18" rim/tire combos are a direct swap out with no change, but they only have the no-change 19" rim and tire for the front. The 19" rim on the rear would have a tire that rides .6" taller and result in the speedometer reading 6% low.

My '94 rides harsh enough as it is. I certainly don't want to be any firmer. Is there any advantage in this except a more modern look? Deciding...

Expect a slight change in ride quality interms of it being a bit more firmer. On my ZR1 I went from 17' to 19' and on my Mercedes CL500 went from 16' to 19'. I got the same result, ride quality was chnaged. More noticable on the Mercedes than the ZR1 because of the comfort riding package.

I plan to upgrade from the 17' on my Viper to 18' HRE 547s don't want to change the ride too much the Viper already has a firm ride.

BR
