Thanks to Jerry and Greg from VCA/Nevada... about 30 RT/10's from Nevada, California and Arizona were asked to drive the NASCAR drivers for the parade laps on track before the UAW/Daimler Chrysler 400 at the LVMS on Sunday. More than 140,000 spectators watched us pick up drivers and passengers (selected after winning bids at a charity auction) for the lap. We drove the drivers from the starting line on the front straight (I had Hut Stricklin)and drove around the track to drop them off on pit lane at their car. We then completed the lap and were parked in the garages where the Busch cars were on Saturday. Covered garage parking for our cars!(Nice Going Nevada!)
Dodge should get plenty of great press as everyone at the hotels later who saw the race asked if we were one of the Vipers at the track. Even Hut was impressed but then again... he drives a Dodge.
VCA sure is fun!
