Update,

Got into Columbus last night...Ward you are correct..a loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg drive, 14.5 hours, only to find myself in a tornado watch box! The rains will be ending around noon and the rest of the weekend looks perfect with highs in the 60's. I already see other vipers in the hotel parking lot.

I, of course, will keep everyone posted on how this event is progressing.

The weather looks grim. Someone in Columbus chat said it's rainy & wet at 9:30am and due to be that way all day. If the forecast improves I might make the 4 hour drive... not much better here in MI.
