LeMans Viper engines for the STREET

I've done some homework. Does a Viper engine that makes 765hp at 7300rpm and 660ft/lbs and can run flat out in 24 hour races flip your switch? And no 7300rpm is not a misprint.

You can get one and have it tuned for street use (not emissions tested obviously). See my thread under the performance mods forum - re Lemans Engines.

I've got another one coming re custom exhausts designed specifically for your Viper based upon your mods, head flow etc etc - I gotta get back to work, but stay posted for it when I can get to it - its a beauty.

I looked at the mods forum. If the cones work as well as you say, let's see a chassis dyno run of that engine in street tune, on pump gas.

Yes - agreed! I've replied on the performance mods forum re the octane matter.

I posted this thread as I know a lot of people don't normally browse the Mods one and knew it would have some interest.

I'm posting Caldwells reply re cost, octane etc on the Mods board if interested - it's feasible for guys who want the best racing V10 you can buy and run it on the street.
