License Plate Area Dimensions?

Can someone confirm the license plate area on a Gen III Viper (2003-2006) for me? I was hoping to order a license plate frame with a 12.5'' (w) x 6.5'' (h) footprint but it looks like it may be too tall to fit the Viper. Am I accurate? Thanks for your help.
