I need to do my first oil change. I want to take it to the local service station and have them do it on their lift-will a Viper fit on a standard drive on lift (not a center post)?

I want them to do the oil change so I can inspect the frame area to see if I need to have the 998 recall done. The car has not been tracked (that I know of) and after the horror stories on this recall I want to see if it needs done immediately or not.

Thanks!

Bill

The ONLY name brand 2 post lifts made that clear the underneath of a Viper is a 7,000lb Rotary and the 7,000/9,000 lb Mohawk. The arms clear 3 1/2". I know of no others that will swing under without the use of wood ramps.

I have a 9,000lb Challenger 2 post and always need a pair of 2x10 ramps...I'd rather use wood ramps for the Viper and have a stronger lift (arms)...

Frank, you have the same lift I have. I just leave two boards up front that I drive on .... and just slid the floor jack under the rear frame and give it a little boost (easier since I got the aluminum jack). Someone was looking at Challenger and said they were working on a new arm that would be Viper friendly. If it is just the part that extends, we could probably update. I would not want to give any strength away though.....my dually is heavy.
