Just received my fourth Viper (SRT-10) Drove it from the trailer directly into my garage due to wonderful Michigan weather! I need a car lift to store one above the other. Have any of you had a good experience with a certain brand and what is it? Your help would be appreciated as there are many on the market to choose from. Thanks

I am VERY HAPPY with the Cytech Double Park 7000 that we purchased in Sept 02. Bill Lewis was VERY patient and helpful in designing this lift over the phone given my garage size problems and LOW ceiling height (103 inches). The Cytech team delivered the lift assembled (!!!), rolled it into the garage with at least a couple of millimeters to spare, complete with bigger and thicker foot pads (as floor is poured over SpanDeck). Lift has 01 GTS on top and Gen I RT/10 below...pinlocks keep ME from putting GTS through the ceiling, and RT/10 has a FULL 1/2 inch extra clearance underneath....PERFECT for our setup and needs. Using a stool on rollers, I can fly around under any Viper on the lift for FULL service !!! Am comforted by the TESTED 21,000 lb. failure loading...giving a Viper over 5X safety factor. Our Tech director has several RECENT posts on the subject...he is a VERY THOROUGH GUY...who posts as Ron Try a search within past month or so.

New on the post here, awaiting a red srt-10 soon. I had the pleasure of installing the Autolifter 9000 in my garage. A couple reasons why I wanted a 2 post lift instead of the 4 post:

1.It was still usauble for keeping a spare/race car for storage
2.It had a clearance of no more than 8 ft for the complete assembly
3.The 9000 # was the amount of weight it could handle-they make also in a 5000 or 7000 if I recall correctly.
4.It was a snap to do tire rotations/brake jobs, or to custom make ducting etc.
5.They delivered tax free(out of state) for approx $2500. I have used for 2 years and its been great. It utilizes hydralics and triple duty chain for lifting power and good safety measures.

Makes sure you read up on the competition before you buy. It proved to get a great product at a good price. I will try to post a photo of it tomorrow!

I have a Perfect Park 7000 and haven't had any problems with it. I purchased it with the 220v option, 2 sets of drip trays, and 3 jacking bridges. I also got the oil changing unit. Its wonderful. If you have any questions about this lift, let me know. I'd be glad to answer any of your questions.

Guys,
I have had a couple of different brands and I think that Cytech is the best! Their customer service is great and the lift works well. Just my .02.

DO NOT BUY THE EAGLE BRAND.

Get the Cytech, Double Park DP7. I have had mine for 5 years without a problem. You need the long aluminum ramps (36" I believe). Aluminum is way lighter than the steel ramps I bought.

Beware of Lift Collapse:
Watch out for Perfect Park 7000 from Gemini Auto Lifts or Lifts Unlimited. Attached is a link to the Corvette Forum where one of their lifts collapsed. Photos included.
