I have a 2002 ACR. The specs say it has limited slip. Is this the same as the old term positraction? Either way, when I get on it, especially from dead stop, it fish tails. Should limited slip keep this from happening?

Some of you "old timers" can correct me but I believe that positraction has both the left and right axle physically tied together so they both turn at the same rate. This is not suitable for street use, only for the drag strip. Limited slip works just about like positraction in that both wheels can spin at the same time. The big difference is they are not physically tied together there's a clutch like plate (don't know name) If you drive in a circle for example your left and right wheels are rotating at different speeds, in which case your differential is allowing one wheel to slip and travel at a slower rate than the other. There were ways to adjust the amount of slippage so both tires don't immediately spin at the exact same time, but I don't know if it would apply to the Viper.
