Hello,

I seen lots of posts on here about locking keys in car but obviously they are blocked out due to security. I didn't want to just reply to those as then I figured I'd just go on the bottom of the post and make everyone re-read everything. So I figured I'd post a new post.

I locked my keys in my 06 SRT Coupe. If you can PM me how I can get them out or if I just have to call AAA or go to local dealer - just a pain.....

If a moderator has issues with me asking as this account does not have the VIN due to the administrator deleting the account I made at home since it had the name "aquasuperstore" (my business) and thats not acceptable - then please go thru your records yesterday for that account "aquasuperstore" that is my VIN - i'm at work now and don't have the VIN handy until I get back home....just kind of wanting to drive it soon....any issues pm me.

thanks,
Chris

What you can do is hire a locksmith, I was at a car show one time with my R/T 10 and someone reached over and stole my keys out of the ignition while I was talking to another person about the car. I was 150 miles from home and no spare key. I hired a locksmith and he come out and put a blank key in the hole and put a little pressure on the blank and then pulled it out and filed where the pressure marks were. He kept doing that until we got the car to turn over and run, Took him about a 1/2 hour to do. you could probably do the same thing and go in through your rear hatch.:D:D

Supersnake or anyone else who knows, please correct me if I am wrong, but I have been told by Dodge that my 2005 has a chip in the key; therefore, using a non-chipped key in the ignition will cause the system to lock-down. Aquahappy's '06 would likewise be chipped, would it not?

Thanks for your help - correct my key is not chipped. I just realized something. I can see the keys in my ignition - I never lock my car (yes call me stupid :) ) so what i'm thinking happened is i left the ignition on and now the electronic doors don't work - is there a way to manually pop the doors? I dont think the car is locked at all in this case, just no power....I guess I can maybe hook up jumper cables as well, the issue there is my only other car is a Maserati and the battery is a pain to get ot in trunk.... let me know if that can be the issue...
