I am really apprehensive about trying anything but a stock clutch because I have one with 63k on it and the disk looks good and there are only some blue marks on the pressure plate.

I have a friend who had 80k on a modified engine that was OK too.

This friend put a Centerforce in and really liked the lesser pedal effort.

While I would like the reduced pedal effort, I am not willing to give up the excellent stock longevity.

So in particular, what are the highest mileage experiences with the Centerforce? ...or any others? (not to mention the $299 Auto Supermarket clutch kit made by TRW.)

...and then the claim that you cannot resurface the flywheel in the shop manual. Is it case hardened? Are they afraid cracks may exist and may not be cleaned up by resurfacing?
