I would like to get a bra for the front of my car. Just for short trips on fine winter days.

I saw Don Boston's 2001 RT10 with a black Mopar Bra. Looked great, but I want to make sure I get the right one.

The more it covers up the better.

Want something that looks like it belongs on a Viper (nothing cheap).

Black would be fine even on my red car.

Recommendations please.

Thanks!

It would be nice to know the wear points before they "appear" to place the tape.

Also, I have come to the conclusion that "Clear Bra" is the way to go.

Supposedly it is 12mil and is not the 3M product and photos of it being applied suggest that it is INCREDIBLY flexible and stretchy!

They're in UT and will sell the stuf to you last time I checked.

Also, I've discovered that if you stay way back from cars up front and NEVER follow a truck, you're stone chips will be virtually nil.

Jeff, actually I have the clearbra stuff now, but first had the Mopar bra. Reading this forum tipped me off to the wear problem, so I used the tape before it occurred to my car, EXCEPT for one area that was around the corner of the fascia in front of the wheel. I easily buffed out that problem, and the tape prevented further damage in those tight areas where the hood or fascia have sharp corners.

Bras are for women.Though not all women. They certainly don't belong on a Viper. Please do not turn your viper into a cross dresser.Leave them for the porsche and corvette guys to wear. Bruce

Al- Thanks for the info.

How did it wear the finish. Scuff up the clear coat?

How did it attach?

I had a Speed Lingere Bra on a C5 Corvette.

The way it attached was it snapped to the body bolts in front. There were plastic shims around the wheel wells.

You can avoid the wear spots by using simple scotch tape where obvious stress points exist. Tape the paint, then take it off when you remove the bra.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I agree with Bruce 100%. Bras are for posers. Why else would someone have a beautiful Viper then stick an ugly bra on it to keep it beautiful? Makes no sense to me. I have 33K miles on my 98 RT/10. Yes, there are a few nicks and the bumper doesn't have the luster of a new Viper, but I'm the only one that notices. Everyone always ask if it's a new Viper. Thanks Zaino.

I can sum it up -- if you like nicks in your paint (and you CAN'T avoid it), go bra-less. If nicks bother you, then get CLEARBRA for your front end, side sills, etc. If installed properly, YOU CAN'T SEE IT, unless you look real close.

To me (a confessed and proud "poser"), it is nice to know that I don't have to worry about that truck up-ahead spraying my expensive paint with inexpensive rocks.
