The only one I have been able to find is at LS1 Motorsports web page for $399.00. It has the Viper RT/10 logo on it. I am not necessarily looking to find somewhere cheaper, but would rather buy it from a vendor who support the VCA. If anyone has some recommended vendors to check, please let me know.

I was also interested in getting the bikini top, but have been hesitant since some one reported having a fitment problem and the vendor does not seem to want to assist in correcting the problem. If anyone knows where I can find a good bikini top, I would appreciate that also.

Build your own rack out of PVC or put HD storage hooks on the wall. Either way will cost you less than $50.

The $400 rack is a total ripoff. I'll sell you mine for $350.

Doesn't also come with a bag to put your hard top in? I thought the price was a little steep too. But I would rather "buy it" than "build it".

Just curious though...would you use schedule 40 or schedule 80 PVC?

Thanks Road King, where did you get the bag for the hardtop? Please don't tell me it came with the car. I bought a new RT/10 about a month ago. There was no cover for the top. I actually was going to go to home deport tongiht and buy what you just suggested.

Thank you so much for your post.

I used the exact same thing as a hardtop rack. Biff from VMania suggested it. No brainer to do it. I feel safe w/ my top on it (even though I'm in earthquake country!). Wish I had a bag for my top also.
Make sure you install the screws for the brackets in studs in the wall! Sheetrock isn't going to hold it....

John,
I had this thread just a short while ago and went with the
setup Road King showed. Got them at the Home Depot. Works great.
Now, you have to start reading EVERY thread EVERY day so you wont miss stuff like this the first time around :)

Go to any local interior shop and have them fab one. Just give them the top to measure or give them your own measurements. I would guess $50 tops.

John,

You can buy the fabric that the rear window cover/soft top cover are made of at any fabric store. It's a black vinyl with a soft underside. I think 4 yards is what I used at around $20. All you need is someone that can sew (mom did a great job).

Kurtz RT/10...

That is a pretty sweet contraption. Something tells me you could fix the issues you have with your bikini top (cockpit cover) fitting properly on your car.

Just curious, has that issue been resolved yet? I was sooooo ready to buy one until I read your post in the other forum.

Please post an update.

I sent you a PM about the bag. I might be interested. Right now the top stays in an extra bedroom in my place to keep it safe from scratches, etc. A cover in conjunction with those ladder hooks would be great for the garage. It will also keep people from asking why I keep the roof of my car in a bedroom.
