Hello all. I know it is a long shot but I posted a wanted classified ad for the 1st Viper I ever owned, a Red '94 that I sold in 2000 when I lived in Maryland after driving it about 7k miles and owning it about 2 1/2 years. Needless to say finding it will not be as hard as seeing if the current owner wants to sell it but heck, it is worth trying. After 6 Vipers and numerous other exotics, etc. I still miss that car.

I am selling my current Porsche and even if I cannot find my 1st Viper I will be buying a Red '94 or '95 at some point in the not so distant future. :headbang:

Thanks in advance for taking the time to keep your eyes & ears open!

Hi Lee, long time no talk! I sold it to a guy named Grayson who lived in S. Maryland, St. Mary's County I think. But from what I know he sold it to someone else in Maryland. Not sure if you remember the car but it was Red with colored wheel centers (stock 3 spokes), side louvers/fins, Black emblems, Biff's windows, and a bunch of MGW & other goodies throughout - kinda stood out in a subtle way.

VIN # please. I suspect you may have more luck of you post a VIN number! That describes a ton of cars. My '94 is red with V-mania windows and painted center caps (painted caps on both sets of wheels). I bought the car in VA last summer.

With the odds of about one in 3 ending up off road in an accident, I would just hope the car is still in one piece.
That said, I wish you luck in finding it and it being OK.

Man, I doubt I can dig up the VIN# since I don't think I have any records from when I owned it - I bought it in 1997 and sold it in 2000...I gave the new owner all the records, documents, etc. But I will start hunting for the VIN# - it was serviced at Waldorf Dodge (RT301 in Charles County MD) so maybe I can start there.

nothing with a VIN?? Insurance ID card, Registration, Buyers Order, temp tag, nothing?? Going to be very tough without that....

I have an excel sheet I keep with the VIN#'s of cars I have owned. I once owned a 70 Chevelle LS6 that I sold in 1996 for a whopping $15,000. (which at the time was big money for the car, it was PERFECT!!! no rust, all matching numbers, cranberry red. I would love to have that car back...

I have the VIN# for it. But its an old 15 digit VIN#, so no carfax records or anything.. I google it from time to time, hoping some has it for sale and the search engine will find the VIN#. So far, no luck. Been trying since 2001 or so.

Do like Papa John did last night at the "Deadskins" game. He is offering a $250,000 reward to the person who locates his old Camaro he sold to start Papa John's Pizza empire. Some lucky joker will hit the jackpot if he finds it. It's a long shot but you never know. He didn't give much info on his old car but I'm sure it may be posted on their website.
Good luck in finding your old Viper! :usa:

I wish I had started a spreadsheet when I bought my first car just over 30 years ago - at least 50 cars/motorcycles after I just jotted down what I can recall. But as they say, hindsight is 20/20!

I sold that Viper over 9 years ago and I know I saved something with the VIN# on it for a few years but files were purged long ago. I did send an email to Waldorf Dodge to see if they can get my the VIN# since I had it serviced there a few times.

But as far as offering a reward/finder's fee forget it - I don't want it that bad - I'll buy a different Red '94 (or '95) before I did that!

Best of Luck in your search... A friend of mine was able to find his first car about seven years after he sold it...a 69 Charger 500...green with black interior 383... He sold it for $2,100 and paid $12,000 to get it back... Poor guy was on a flight back from a business trip in the UK headed for Kennedy and got violently ill. They stopped up in Halifax where he died of cirrhosis of the liver... 2 weeks after his 40th birthday...didn't believe in Doctors... He was supposed to go house shopping with his fiance that weekend...

Well at least he got that car back and enjoyed it for a while...

I just got in touch with Erie Insurance - they found my old policy # and said they will provide me the VIN# in 2-3 days so I will post it here to see if that will help me locate it.

On another note, say I find an old RT/10 at a Dodge dealer that is new/untitled - if I buy it will it come with the factory 3/36 warranty, and if so could I also purchase the extended warranty?

Yes you could purchase the extended warranty. I can get in touch with Grayson to find out who he sold it to if you need me to.

Good luck with your search.

You seriously think you can find a new gen 1 RT ???? hummm????

Anyway, mine is a '94 ... ###1004... I bought it from Mike Warner (former MD/VA member.)... It's obviously been run a bit but is in pretty good condition anyway.

Have history on my car??? PM me!! I want to know.....

Ok, I found the VIN# of the Red '94, my 1st one, that I'd like to find:

1B3BR65E2RV102617

If anyone has a lead on it please pass it along.

And yes, jdeft1, I found a new Red '94, with 30 miles; no warranty and way too much money for a car that has been sitting for 15+ years!

I have a Red 94 RT/10 I would part with for the right price and I am only 50 miles or so from you. I am second owner, sold new at Westside Dodge in Jax and never been out of the Jax area. Viper Tech told me it had the cleanest underside for a Gen 1 he had seen in a long time last time it was in for service. 22k miles, A/C, Mopar 6 stack CD. Mopar top and Northwind slider hard windows. All original except for smooth tubes and filters and MGW short shift knob. I have original tubes, filters and shift knob. Has had head gaskets done. Original window sticker. All fluids recently refreshed.
Only repaint is front fascia due to minor chips and curb scrapes on bottom. I have owned this car for nine years and it needs nothing. Clean Carfax.

PM me if interested. I am not actively selling the car.
