Hello
I am looking for red SRT convertible. I found an 03 with 12200 miles and when I went to the dealer to have the VIN checked they told me that 52500 is to much for that car. So I guess I will check to see if can find a better deal. If anybody has one let me know. I have the cash and I am ready to buy. :2tu:

Re: Looking to buy a red SRT convertible *DELETED*

Well that's my car . Maybe 52500 is 2 high but seems reasonable . It has rt cats, corsa, red factory calipers, dcperformance computer and thermostat, alpine cd and upgraded door speakers, ebc pads and partially drilled and slotted rotors, clear bra, custom viper logo red floor mats, k&n,. i think it's cheapest viper on autotrader except for a black one and a wrecked one.

Anyways sorry to hijack the thread and hope u find u're car because u do have to feel right when u make a purchase . if u feel like u're not getting a good deal then u may not enjoy the car as much

There is one on the alley with 6000 miles and change and he is asking 52k. If you are patient you will get a 03 for mid to high 40s. I have seen a couple sell in the 40s. You should be able to get an 04 in the low to mid 50s.

The dealer probably told you that the car was too high so that they could turn around and buy it and sell it. All you have to do is do your research and you will be able to establish a nice baseline for what the car is worth. Condition, mileage, and availability will determine the price. If you compare the 4 03s for sale on EBAY right now you will find the avg price to be approx 58k. I have noticed since my short time on here that some people are always acting as though the Gen IIIs are tanking in value. That is just not true. These same people are the ones that downplay the SRT-10s looks. The ones I have seen in the Dallas area are easily going for 54k to 56k.

Also i did a search on viper alley and there is no viper with 6000 miles for 52k

Here is a list of gen 3 vipers listed on the alley in last 6 months

04-13,000 miles-$56000
05-13,000 miles-$59,999
03-14,900 miles-$59,900
05-3,500 miles-$58,900
03-6,000 miles-$57,900
03-mileage not listed but TRACKED 3 times-$53,000

maybe i need to raise my price considering my car has the mods one needs and only one car above has mods.

Also my local dealer offered me 50k as trade in on a new 06 coupe (77k) but why let him turn around and sell if for 54-56k when a viper lover can get a better deal

yes u r right viper23 my apologies, but he listed it in the forums and was advised to put it in the classifieds but he never has .. Also the car is bone stock and as a 03 probably does not have the red calipers like mine which was produced in march of 2003 with red calipers. But it is a good price for a very quick sell if it is for real.

ALSO AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IF U DO A SEARCH OF RONNIE5 U WILL SEE THAT HIS VIPER WAS VANDALISED. HE PARKED IT OUTSIDE A CLUB AND SOMEONE TOOK A KNIFE TO IT - ESPECIALLY THE TOP. i would be interested to see some pics of his car but he has never posted any.

Hi Guy:

I am not trying to say anything bad about your car or price. It is very nice and good luck with the sell. I actually know XLR8 and he is a good friend of mine, I am hoping you can work something out with him because I would sure love for him to let me drive a Gen 3 when he gets one...maybe it might interest me to add a Gen 3 to my stable.

And thanks for the heads up on Ronnie's car.

Peace

No Mike I would like one that runs. By the way my ear still hurts.

LOL!
Hey did you see the thread on the red one for sale on the alley?
I just checked it out, that's not too bad of a deal.
Not a big deal if the rag top was knifed, just as long as it has a new one and not duct tape!

Hey Mike. It is funny that you should point out a Henn car. We took a 2005 Venom 650 to the dyno last week and it made 454 rwhp and 468 rwtq. I would not have believed it was a Henn car but he had a reciept for 47k in mods from Henn. Impressive eh?
As for he convertile, I know you can do it but I am going to try to find one that was built that way.

OMG! I totally forgot to ask you about that car!
Well, see, if he had spent a 1/4 of a million dollars for the one on E-Bay everything would have been better :bonker:
That's incredible, because that's what they make stock! You sure the guy just didn't buy the Venom stickers off of E-Bay and put them on the car?
Well I did hear from some of the guys at the Alley that my car blew up because it was in Arizona, not in Texas. It's an altitude thing.
I'm sure the Venom 650 would make 200 more HP in Texas on the dyno there.
Must have been another bad tuner here in AZ.

Adding 200HP to your car.............$10,000 dollars
Dyno tuning your car at a shop........$500 dollars
The look on the car owners face when the car turns a stock #...PRICELESS! :ooo:
