Not sure you are going to find anything in running condition for 30k I would save up more money and buy something in at least running condition, just my 2 cents.

38k is not bad, but used hard and put away wet. Save up another 10k and it will get you something a lot better.

Deals are out there if you search. I got my 96 for under 30k, but it has 86k miles and does need a little work, which is good with me, because I didn't want a queen. I wanted one I could enjoy without ruining it.

My 96 was less than 30k and ran fine all 700 miles home. To say you can't get a running one for 30k is just wrong. It's not perfect, but I wasn't looking for perfect. Deals are out there if you are patient and willing to look for them.

Yea there out there, but don't you need a new transmission and other stuff, if you like working on your Viper that's great, but not everyone wants to put back together a high mileage Viper, and when the smoke clears you have dumped 10k more anyway. But this is from someone who has had many Vipers some where rats that needed lots of work, some where used and in great shape, some where new, and had a Auto Care center for 40 years, I am done pulling transmissions and changing water pumps, I was once young and could take on anything like Lane, but not anymore. So pick your path which fits you best.:)

well i ended up picking up a red 2003 Viper out of Seguin and love it so far. I will be driving home to Albuquerque, New Mexico Friday.

Very excited to own my dream car. It will look good next to my 2000 Nassau Blue Corvette FRC

True, if you can tackle stuff yourself you can find deals. If I had not planned on doing the work myself, I definitely would have gone for a different one.

But to do the work yourself and you enjoy it like I once did, there is nothing like the pride you have and the feeling of accomplishment when your done , the bad thing is you become attached to that car and its tough to part with down the road.

I have an 2001 red RT/10, only 9,925 miles, barely a scratch mint inside and out, mostly a garage queen. besides stereo upgrade and high flow cats and seat lowering kit with mopar wing ..its stock Need 39K firm. Car needs nothing.

Wow, 30k for a Viper! That's going to be a Stretch at Best! You can find some good deals out there for sure, but for 30k that's Not going to get you much other than Salvaged. Now 40k you can get some Really Nice Deals out there! I have a 2000 Steel Gray that I'll probably end up putting up for sale (cause I just bought a 13' & my wife says I have too many toys) but I wouldn't take anything Less than 40k cause it only has 14k miles & doesn't have ANY Flaws or Paintwork done to it & has the Jeff Lemke 3 piece top & has never seen Rain & also has the Gen. III wheels on it! JMO
