F355 said:"Very few dealers are selling their new Coupes for Invoice, but they are out there and it is possible to get $10K off but it is more easily found with convertibles."

The MSRP of the new coupe in black without stripes and with the five spoke wheels is $87,695.00. This price includes gas guzzler tax and destination charge. I would be interested in knowing where you saw the same Viper for sale for $77,695 including gas guzzler tax and destination charge. I am aware of the fact that there are discounts being offered on the coupes. I am not aware of any new, unused ones being discounted by as much as you suggest.

Bob, there are many dealers that are not participating in this but if you look hard enough, you can get $10,000 or more off of a brand new coupe. I have found quite a few but here are a few of the most recent ones available:

Thank you for your detailed reply. Do you know whether the "asking prices" you are quoting include gas guzzler tax and delivery charge? Thank you in advance for your reply.

The cars above are all off of sticker and gas guzzler is in the sticker price so yes to your questions. Give some of them a call if you are in the market. Just gotta search. If you need any other help, don't hesitate to ask.

On my car the asking price included the gas guzzler tax.

I looked at the Copper one at Szott Dodge. In 2006 it's not considered a "Copperhead". Sweet looking car but I felt claustrophobic in it. It may have been because it was indoors in a dimly lit area. The woman handling the sale is in "Used" car sales because of Internet. The car seems on the up in up and as far as I could tell it's a deal. I ended up buying a Gen II GTS.

Dodge should put a warning label on all Vipers...

"If you are an idiot, don't buy this car"

Seriously, I bet the affects of such a warning would be amazingly positive.

Hahahaha, how many people out there have more money than sense. I value my purchases and I will do everything in my power not to be in or cause an accident.

I may be driving slow in everyday rainy weather traffic...but I am watching everyone around me and making sure that people aren't too close or watching that stupid person behind me jabbering on the cell phone, instead of driving their car, is doing......ughhhh....

And if I want to go fast...then I bring my car to the dragstrip....I really don't wanna end up in a ditch off the highway because I couldn't control myself.

What's the deal with "the owner did not want it fixed"
If the insurance paid him off was it probably just the lean payoff?
