Low Tire Indicator Light malfunction

I have a 2008 Coupe that has the low tire pressure indicator light on. The Dealer has had it 4 times and cannot solve the problem (have reset computer several times). Dodge QC got involved but still no resolution. Would this be tire pressure sensors? Are they unwilling to fix due to high cost of locating bad sensor? Could use some advise.

Mine's been on since day one brand new '10 and 1500 miles later still on.

USA VPR, it's pretty easy to detect a bad sensor...then replace same. If it is the module...not as simple but doable. You may need to try another dealer.ViperJon, it sounds like you have not attempted to solve this with a visit to a dealer (or anyone else with the correct scan tool). If I'm correct in that assumption, consider checking the system with a DRB III, then resetting system as the reset alone may be curative. I have seen this happen on several Gen III & IV Vipers.

Find another dealership. A pretty simple problem to diagnose. It's either one of the sensors or the module (a $130 part) which is behind the center dash panel and is a easily accessible and replaceable.

Yes you are right I haven't really pursued it.
I had one guy clear it with some type of scanner/reader but a mile later back on.
Unfortunately the dealers on Long Island can't be trusted to put air in the tires right.
I'll bring it up to Chuck Tators one of these years.

I've had this pretty recently too. Checked the tire pressure and it was at 34 psi (fine by me; I inched it up to 36psi on my Kumho's). I don't even trust them. I just check the tire pressure before drives and keep an eye on the wheel/tire all the time.

Hilarious. The government mandates tire pressure sensors and they end up creating false readings and aggravation. All because some tall profile SUV Firestones went flat with Nervous Nellies in the driver's seat.

you need to follow the spec pressure on each car because they are programmed with a range for the car. at least for a factory oem sensor. and keep them within 2 psi of eachother for the most

Thanks all for the responses. My experience with two dealers has been underwhelming and time consuming. I will persist and post the final fix.
