Bob Lutz, whose historic 98 GTS-R will soon be raffled by the VCA , will take on M3s,M5s and Audis on 10/29 at Montecello Raceway.

It started at a press conference awhile back when he was extolling the virtues of GM cars and the V in particular which is arguably the word's fastest production sedan.

There is a short promo on YouTube.

Having driven with Bob and having personally owned the M5 and the V, I would not bet against him. It should be great fun, and something we should all do if we make it to 77 years old.

Go get 'em.

Let's commision the new Bob Lutz, Ralph Gilles to represent Dodge.

Seriously, I was lucky enough to see Paul Newman run at Lime Rock Park and he raced until he was 80. I want to do that, too.

Numbers are still coming in, but it looks like Maximum Bob did well finishing about 7th with the CTS-V taking the first 4 spots. Most of the Euro weenies backed out -scared to death of American muscle.

At 77 I hope to still be vertical--much less racing cars.
