Machine baffels with T&D:s on Gen 1?

I'm installing new Rockers, and need to know if need to machine the baffles inside the valve covers for clearance with the T&D 1:7 ratio rockers?
The Engine is a Gen1 and the lift is 0.585"

If your valve stem length has increased you may have to modify your baffles. If you run into a snag, give me a buzz and I'll try to walk you through the process.

There are probably a bunch of different methods, here is one approach. The procedure on a Gen 2 - after the install prior to starting the engine mount the valve covers with two screws on top and two on the bottom. Do not tighten the screws leave about an 1/8"-3/16" between the base of the screw head and the lip of the valve cover. Now start the engine and let it run for a 10-15 seconds. Remove the valve covers you will see slight marks where the rockers hit the baffle. Put a center punch on the marks and tap with a small hammer. Once again, with a Gen 2 and T&D's this works perfectly.
