McGard Wheel Locks Key Broken

I have a major problem, when removing the McGard wheel locks, the inside of the key sheared off leaving my lug nuts un-removable and others damaged. Can I obtain a duplicate key and four new locks?. I am very disappointed the key failed. I. The lugs were torque to Dodge specifications using an expensive torque wrench. Please help!!!

Yes you can...

I ordered a set from Germany and x2 lock keys just in case along with a set of lug nuts in black.. All you need is the ID No on the card that came with the locks....

Find a 12 point socket that fits tight and hammer it onto the lug. Then get a new set.

Or, I think they can find you a key if you send them a picture of the lug.

I'd be interested to know how this will be avoided in the future. It would upset me to be on the side of the road at night and have the new McGard locks break off again. I might not have a 12 point socket with me to hammer onto the lug.

McGard is located about 20min or so from my house in Buffalo,NY they can issue you a new one on the spot,not sure on cost though as it has been a while since I had the same problem..And I know your not here but I could help you out or you can just contact them,Jim
