McLeod Aluminum Flywheel

Anyone usint a Mcleod Racing LLC aluminum flywheel? If so, would you recommend it? Do you know what it weighs?:dunno:

I prefer our chromoly flywheels, about the same effect but they will take more heat.

I have experience with a Mcleod Aluminium flywheel, but not on a Viper. It's the reason I would NEVER EVER run any Aluminum flywheel on the street.

I think he's referring to the fact that the aluminum flywheel will allow for a quicker rev, but will lack the inertia that a heavier flywheel delivers for good street drivability.

A lighter flywheel in a Viper will give better throttle response and shifting under power.
There is very little change in the driveability from the loss of inertia. Low speed throttle tip in and off throttle deceleration are changed.

I like the Chromoly wheels as they tend to take the heat better and last longer. The aluminum wheels use a small steel friction patch to absorb all the heat.
