Last Sunday was the date of the 2006 Spring Brunch for the Motor City Viper Owners chapter of VCA. This well attended event is the annual kickoff for the Michigan Viper owners who have just taken their cars out of Winter hibernation.
It's always a great sight to see a bunch of snakes gathered in the same parking pit! Here's one of the lots at Meadowbrook Country Club where the Brunch was held.
We had a great buffet, surrounded by numerous aftermarket vendors who stoked our enthusiasm for more Viper goodies. We had the pleasure of making $1,000 contributions to both the Michigan Humane Society and Project Linus. Everyone enjoyed the raffles, silent auctions, live auctions and various giveaways -- expecially Mark Burnstein, who won a new set of tires for his '96 blue GTS! Jim Bielenda was awarded the Joyce Allen award for the most active support of the club during the past year.
After our stomachs were full and our bags stuffed with the latest polo shirts and K&M filters, a bunch of us went for a short, but pleasant cruise.
Before we split up we all stopped in quaint downtown Northville, MI for some high calorie ice cream and more bench racing.
All in all, a great way to kick off the Summer driving season on a terrific sunny day.
