The Southern California club was invited to preview the SRT Track Experience Sunday afternoon.

While it was great to see the whole SRT line at the Drag Strip, autocross, and road course, the suprise of the day was to see the ME4/12 taking passengers around the road course. At least 6 lucky individuals got to ride in this radical black stealth looking supercar. The wicked sounds it made, even muffled by those 4 turbochargers was an experience.

For those who attended, perhaps a piece of history was close enough to touch.

Thanks to everyone at SRT that went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and thanks for letting our members get a chance to see all the SRT line of products. Very impressive. :2tu: :2tu: :2tu:

Yes it was a great experience, all those So Cal viper owners that were too lazy to drive missed out. Really gotta hand it to the Viper club and SRT for making it possible.

The Nevada Region would like to hook up the same sort of joint event with the SRT Experience here in Las Vegas. Who did you contact to set everything up?

I would contact Fiona at JR Thompson 800 998 1110. She was there, working to keep everything running smoothly.

Lots of our members signed up to go to the event on Saturday.

Everyone I spoke to was really jazzed.

This event is a unique opportunity to drive the entire SRT line at both drag strips and road courses.

We got the chance to meet some of the SRT marketing people, who seemed genuinely interested in our feedback.

If they aren't gonna build the ME 4-12, why are they tormenting us? (wink) :D

Viper Techs

Hey Chuck,

I spoke to Woodhouse and I know they gave you a call today. I am considering the Moton shocks and springs and I'm looking for someone in South Florida. Doug Levin has been out for a bit so I will ask him when he gets back since he has done all the work on my car, but he is really a Paxton S/C guy and he is very backed up with work, so I was looking for a reasonable alternative. I know you recommended Dave White in Tampa... but do you know anyone or know someone that might know someone in Miami/Palm Beach corridor?

Thanks!

Charlie

Re: Viper Techs

When lost follow the tracks of Porsches. Call Mike Gokey 954-772-6272 He's booked up solid so it will be a month or two before you can get in. But all these performance suspension shops are booked.

I spoke to Tom a little bit in Detroit. They are trying to make a business case for making this car. There is a lot of passion with the guys that built this car. Unfortunatly, the auto business is so competitive, that they won't throw the millions necessary to build this car unless it can be recovered and make a profit.

If you really are serious about this car, they remarked that part of the decision to make the Viper was the number of people who sent deposits directly to Chrysler in hopes the car would be made. That was the ultimate focus group.

They are not using this car as a tease...They are as serious as a heart attack. Get behind these guys if you every want to see DC make a car that will knock McClarren off its pedestal.

Write letters, ask your dealership when it will be available, support all those SRT team. Show some passion. That car at Lemans would run away from the field. The American flag would wave proudly. :usa: :usa: :usa:

Give me the e-mail address of someone directly responsible for the ME 4/12 and I will do my best to let them bite in my sale's pitch :p

I was lucky enough to get to ride in the ME412 on the track and all I can say is WOW! After the Skip Barber people gave us thrill rides in SRT-4,SRT-6,SRT-8,SRT-Ram and the SRT Viper I got to go for a ride in this and it must have been at least and hour for the grin to come off my face! Thanks SRT!
