Melted MSD Spark Plug Boots

MSD is known for making some of the best structural parts in the industry (and they do) although the Viper ignition wires are not one of their better assets.

Not your fault -- I assume the boots are like clay and mushy? Replace them with Mopar or Magnecor wires.

Yes... do leave the heatshields intact that surround the plug and boot. They will protect & serve

One thing that I'm not real crazy about is the boot protectors (silicone braided fiberglass sleeves), they do serve their purpose by shielding out extreme temperatures and are non-reactive to gas and oil, but make it difficult to detect a misfire in the event a plug wire sparks inadvertently to ground.
