MGW Door Sill Plates

I'm leaning toward getting a set of MGW door sill plates, but can't decide between the satin & chrome finishes. Do any of you have experience with these plates and/or an opinion on the finish (pics?). Are there other sill plates that fasten on with the sill screws instead of adhesives? Thanks for your help.

I went with the satin in order to match the acr wheels better. I also thought that where they are positioned, it would be a pain to keep them looking perfect (feet scuffing them every time in and out) in chrome.

I have the chrome. They fasten with the sill screws and look great. I have never scratched them with my feet, although I am careful not to scratch the sills as I get in and out.

Is there any chance you could attach a picture? The satin is shown on the MGW website, but I've never seen the chrome. Thanks.

I have chrome and they look great but I have chrome ACR wheels and a chrome gas cap. As for scratching, the chrome seems very hearty and is probably less likely to marr than a satin finish.

I have the chrome (sorry no pics). I think they look better against the black sill and I have the stock chrome wheels. No problems with scratching after 2 years. They'd better not scratch...I paid $295 for the pair!

well i was thinking of gettin satin becuase everything in my car is satin but like the rest of you i would like to see some chrome

My .02 is, if you have satin other pieces, then the sills should be satin If your pieces are chrome use chrome

Do the American Dream plates cover the wide sill at the bottom, or just the narrow sill higher up?
