MGW Shift knob

Go for the First Strike shift knob. I had it on both of my Viper!! It not only feel great, and it shift much better!! Good Luck!

According to George at MGW, most people prefer the original shift knob (Snake Gripper). I originally ordered the First Strike, but by accident received the Snake Gripper. I decided to give the Snake Gripper a shot and am pretty pleased with it's shorter throw. It does get hot as eng12 indicated, but it's not that bad. Let me know if you'd like to give it a test drive.

The car's running great! It'll run even better when Jason Heffner does his top secret magic tricks to it in a few weeks.

As for the shifter, I kept everything stock except the knob. When I first got the car I kept missing shifts and thought about replacing the shifter. But I realized it was my bad technique and after many practice runs, I can shift fast and smooth. The knob is definitely a vast improvement over stock.

I have used both knobs on my car and prefer the First Strike knob. The Gripper was great and a vast improvement over the stock shifter, however I like the "pistol grip" feel of the First Strike knob better. Either way you can't go wrong!
