Interestingly, the reason I first bought them is they're incredibly light -- 20 lbs for the front 19x10, and 22 lbs for the rear 19x13. However, when I actually saw the "full polish" finish on my car at VOI, I decided I also liked the way they looked

As for the Z06 comment... no Z06 runs 345/30-19 tires. And no Z06 I know of can spin them at 120 mph, either

. Them's VIPER wheels.

Also Kudos to Mark at Forgeline for hussling with our order and offering to bring the rims directly to the Exhibition Hall. We as Dealers and consumers, are always grateful to the companies that show a special interest in our Snakes. Big thanks to Mark and the guys/gals at Forgeline. Ben, the car exceeded everyone's expectations and Doug Levin sure impressed alot of us with his professional manner. He is definitely down to earth and he put alot of pride in your car - it was a definite show-stopper!!

Ben,

Wheels look great!!! So the finish is full polish and not chrome - correct?

Toby,

Check the Vendor Specials section - right now Jon B. has a great price running on Forgelines.

Anthony -- correct, the finish is "full polish", no chrome. The web link is http://www.forgeline.com. I'll opine that the wheels look far better in person even than they do in those pictures.

I don't really have data on the ride, since my car now has a street/drag suspension and softer springs. However, the rear tires are 345/30-19, which means they actually have [slightly] more sidewall than the stock tires, and thus I expect the ride to be similar to stock.

Amusingly / irritatingly, at VOI people would come up to my 1200 BHP supercharged & NOS'd DLM RT, and the first two questions they would always ask were:

#1: "Where did you get those wheels??"

and

#2: "Where did you get that license plate frame??"

... but it does tell you something about how good they look ...

Yep, Liz's Daytona is for sale; it's gorgeous but a bit too high-profile for her tastes -- if driving a Viper is like having a supermodel in the passenger seat, then driving the Daytona is like having a **** supermodel in the passenger seat

At any rate, Liz decided to get the SRT instead. If I can't find a buyer for her Daytona by the time our SRT is ready, Pemberton'll just load it onto the same truck which delivers the SRT and take it away...

Ben, Since seeing your wheels at VOI caused me to buy them on the spot. I feel you should help me explain my spending an all
time record high at the VOI to my wife. LOL.

Ray, I wish I could help ya. They look so good in person, I think you'll just have to plead "temporary insanity". Or, tell her "Honey, they weigh 8 lbs less than the stock wheels, each. Less unsprung weight means better handling, which will make the car safer! You want me to be safe when I go driving, right??" That usually works for me

Joe -- my car was lowered more than that, and the tires didn't rub. The Forgelines w/tires are slightly more than 1" larger in diameter than the stock 18" rims, so you lose about 1/2" of additional clearance. I would, however, check with Forgeline to see what lowered combinations (if any) they've used in testing.

Great. My car has the 17's but I did some math and it looks like the front will be 1.47 inches taller while the rear is .92 inches. Not bad considering those figures get cut in half where Im concerned.Thanks.
