I finally finished all of the mods to make my 94 perfect thanks to JonB, ROE, and Tom Sessions. Now I want a 98/99 and possibly an ACR. I must be nuts. I learned a lot making (mostly paying for) all of the mods. I would do it all again with maybe one exception, the 355 gears. My VCA ad has a picture.

Upgrades since 9/01 Purchase: Silver Stripes Added, V-Mania Roof w/ Duct, V-Mania Windows, Alpine CD Head Unit #7875, 3.55 Gears, Kevlar Clutch, Aluminum Flywheel, SS Gen II Headers/Midsection, Random High Flow Cats, Ballenger Cat Back Exhaust, ROE Hose Kit, Updated Fan, ROE Bumper Fascia Cooling Duct, ROE Radiator Fan Control Kit, Filters and Smooth Tubes, EBC Brake Pads, SS Brake Lines, Optima Battery, MGW Accessories, and ZAF Pedals. And last, but not least, an Arrow rebuild.

Thanks Tony. I need to add that. The 355's are great for the street. At VOI7 it was clear that I needed to shift into 4th gear and others with 307's did not. One less shift would be good if tracking the car which is what I plan to do with my next Viper.

Dixter, if you are not going to track the car, do it. I can pull 2-3 car lengths on a like hp GenII in first and second. The seat-of-the-pants difference is substantial.

I thought that the 3.55 gears will take you to 130MPH in 4th, which would mean that you wouldn't have to shift unless you were making MUCH more power like with a N20 or a blower.

Snakester and PhilC, you are both right. At the strip, shifting into 4th is all that is needed. At the track, 4th (VOI in Nashville) and 5th (Road Atlanta)are used if you have 355's and probably one less shift if you have 307's. On the street in everyday driving the 355's are a good choice.
