I can take most any steering wheel off without a puller. When D.C put our steering wheels on they did not mean them to come off,so unless you have no reguard for your old wheel, get a puller,Also pull the air bag controller fuse, before you start

Re: MOMO Steering Wheel

What Vipermed said. I just swapped my wheel and I tried to get it off without, but it was very obvious I was wasting my time. PepBoys saved the day for $9.99 or thereabouts. :)

Scott,
got wheel off no problem, then i removed the plastic housing around the column, now i cant figure out how to remove the middle plastic piece (its light blue) that has the airbag and the horn wiring going into it. without it off, the new wheel wont fit down on far enought to start threadding itself. the horn is a simple disconnect but the wiring for the airbag is direct. should i cut it?

Re: MOMO Steering Wheel

DO NOT CUT....Rich to pull the "clockspring unit" off, at it @1:00 that there is a black release tab that you must pull up and then @ 7:00 is a plug that you must remove. You will also have to feed the 2 pin clockspring plug up through the column. It has a plastic tap about 4" up the plug on the oposite end of the clockspring(blk and blue unit)

i took a few pics but as usual i cant figure out how to post, so...if anyone wants to post em for me, let me know and ill email them

BTW, couldnt get the horn to hook up so the only flaw in my momo set up; i got to hang out the window and yell, LOL otherwise im glad i did the swap, it looks great, especially with the MGW brushed pieces and when i put in the black carbon fiber dash its gonna be sweet
