I realized I missed a few of my notes...most importantly what they said about delivery....No cars will be shipped until November, approx. 60 have been built so far. the first 250 will be kept and gone over and over until they are PERFECT! As I have a vin under 250 I inquired if that meant customers cars, the answer was, yes they were referring to customer cars. John Fernandez also mentioned when asked about colors for next year that nothing had been decided but that they would like to get back to carryover red and then have at least one color that was unique to each year. I had checked the vin of the car outside the banquet room and the last 3 digits were 145. I asked if that meant if you had a vin lower than that, then was your car built? Answer..no. All the cars floating around at VOI were not built in sequence so all of you peering through winsdhields, especially me in the rain before the parade, those numbers are meaningless to us in relationship to our cars being built. Don't know if anyone noticed but the black car in the parade driven by one of the nascar guys had last three digits under 020, that really got my juices going, Corvette guys ask zillions for those kinds of vins from the 60's. Unfortunately as reported elsewhere these cars we so lovingly abused last week will probably be crushed. Kinda sad, but that is the norm in the auto industry due to liability concerns.
