What weight motor oil is now recommended for the GTS ...
Seems 10W30 is no longer top choice ...

I was just talking about this with a buddy yesterday and browsed the forums... Seems like the prevailing wisdom said Mobil 1 full synthetic 0W-40 for street use and 15W-50 for very hot climates or track use.

I’m no expert so maybe defer to the more experienced guys here if they say otherwise.

From the research I've done, 0W40 is recommended for later Gen Vipers, and is approved for use in Gen 1 and 2.

I made the switch after reading up on that. 10W30 will prob work just fine. I liked the additive package in the European formula 0W40 Mobile 1

Regular changes is way more important than brand and in some case even weight.

just researched the mobile 1 0-40 european formula has been slightly changed. now there is an rs lettering designating the new formula which may offer less protection than the original. can anyone confirm this?
