Been wanting to make a rack for a while but building one from scratch would take some time and quite a bit of materials. Saw this dolly on Craiglist for $50 and thought that it was a huge start. All I had to do was ad the four cross bars. Rolls great, spins on a dime. Much better than I would have done with just four casters. If we ever get some decent weather I'll throw some paint on it.

That's freakin awesome. Believe it or not I have been thinking all week about making a rack for my garage. That's cool. I'm going to have to look into that. :2tu:

CRAP, my work is liquidating excess stuff to get rid of one of our shop bays. We had a couple of these that we got rid of through craigslist for practically nothing. I should have grabbed one.

great idea!

Cool. Much better than stacking them to the ceiling as I do.

Right... A U Boat is what we called it... I remember that from my High School job at the Foodtown... Unloading and packing out... A few of the guys that worked there sent the store Dweeb/Nerd into the frozen food locker and then wedged one of those between the door and the wall in the hallway at the back of the store.. They left him in there for 2 hours and when they opened it up he was building an igloo out of ice cream boxes....:lmao:

That's a float that grocery stores, etc use to take freight in and out to the sales floor. I've pushed a many of those things around in my day.

Thats what I do too! :lmao:

Nice work! Wish I had 2 extra sets of rims and tires. :)

Thanks guys....every 30 years or so I actually DO have a good idea :D

Any Viper owner worth his salt will have:

1. Four stock tires.
2. Four road course/autocross tires.
3. Two mild stickies for the rear (Kumhos)
4. Two drag radials for the rear.
5. Two slicks/ET Streets for the rear.
6. Two skinnies for the front.
7. Four new rear Kumhos for future use.

Yes, I need two tire caddies :headbang:

One will do, at least taking care of the frequently changed tires.

I've got #1 nailed down! :D

Next time Chad comes over, empty the tires out and have him see how long he can hold on to the caddie while pushing him down your driveway. :omg:

That prob isn't a safe idea, but it does sound fun! New idea for the BBQ this summer...caddie racing! Everyone making it to the bottom alive gets a free wing party at ******* :lmao: or plan B.--film it and send it in for a future "*******" movie :D

Finally got some paint on it.
It's holding a complete set of autocross/track tires. A set of slicks and skinnies and a pair off drag radials.

Slick idea!

While on the topic, any ideas for a tire rack for the enclosed trailer that gets the tires up and out of the way?
