Anyone interested in a classic 1997 Blue and White GTS with very low mileage (15650) in excellent condition check out my ad in the classifieds.
Going to ad more pictures of interior etc, but many guys in the NY/CT club can vouch for the car.
No cleaner B&W to be found considering it's 15 years old.
Stock except for Hi-Flo cats, Corsa cat back, smooth tubes and filter all installed by Tators.
Tires have about 4K on them, replaced in 2008.
Here's the link to the day I got it: http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/606707-CONGRADULATIONS-...ViperJon?highlight=viperjon

Ad: http://classifieds.viperclub.org/sh...le=super-clean-low-mileage-classic-gts&cat=16

Thanks!

Jon, I can't believe you are selling your GTS! It is the nicest B/W GTS I have ever seen! That car has been PAMPERED!

Someone is going to get a GREAT car.

Bump for a super clean B/W that's going into FleaBay next week.
Need the garage space. Not a cleaner one to be found with only 15K on it.

looks nice

It is.
Apparently having a great condition low mileage car is a drawback these days as the bottom feeders seem to think NO GTS should be worth more than 35K.
One thing I do know. This particular GTS will never ever be sold for 35K.

Jon, I'm really surprised you still have this. If I wouldn't have bought the one local to me, I probably would have gone up to see yours. And just so everyone knows (regarding the bottom feeder comment), I paid a little more than $42k for mine and it was worth EVERY PENNY.

Glad to hear you picked one up, enjoy it. Yes, I must admit I am surprised it's still here.
I haven't put it on Fleabay yet was hoping to just sell it locally or to a member.
I just think that despite it being a very low mileage car in really excellent condition people have trouble getting over that 40K mark on a Gen 2.
One guy (after a 35K offer) said he can pick up Blue and White's all day long for under 40K, I guess mileage and condition are irrelevant now..

I guess I fall into the bottom feeder category. I wouldn't low ball a nice car and know whats out of my league. I don't shop for the nice ones, I just want a decent car until my kids are out of diapers. Good luck with the sale, somebody is going to end up with a beautiful car.

If you list a car for 45k (as an example) and someone offers you 41-42K..that's a reasonable starting point and then you can negotiate..maybe.
If you list a car for 45K and someone seriously offers you 32K...that's more like an insult.

I wasn't directing that at you by any means. I don't want to insult a car or its owner. I know what's out of my range and dont even bother the seller with an offer. I have no trouble being lumped in with the bottom feeders, it might be a step up for me. I would love to own a car like yours, its just not in the cards right now.

No offense taken, I was just venting some frustration at some of the offers I have received.

Nice looking car, good luck with the sale.

I'm very partial to a B&W GTS, but then I see one every day when I walk through my garage.

Surprised you haven't sold it yet...

Hardest part of selling a Gen II is that a lot of folks can't get financing on something more than 7 years old.

What you have is a very special car that need a very special buyer you will find it.
,I know people are low balling on eBay but it does get a lot of views just make it clear that this it not a fire sale and is a 10 condition car if that don't work bring it to Barrett Jackson those idiots got $ to burn!

Nice car. And nice to see the '97 value still holding up. 15 years and 30K less than list is really sweet. It's basically driving a Viper for about $2K a year in depreciation costs. I can't believe that nobody sees that the car is bottoming out in depreciation. Over the next 15 years, it's going to lose no more than 15K, if at all. That's Viper ownership for 1K/year. How sweet is that. Financially savvy buyers who can operate a financial calculator will see the light.

Don't give up. A smart buyer will pick it up in the low 40's.

Haven't given up at all, the right buyer will come along as many have said.
I refuse to sell it for cheap mainly because I don't need to sell it at all. Just want to clear garage space mostly.
This is a car you could hop in and drive to California from here 3000 miles today, it has no issues whatsoever.
I have been offered upper 30's from a dealer so I sure as hell am not selling it privately for that.

Dumb remark .... then why haven't you picked one up, I'd suggest you go get one of those, they sound like a much better deals than this one. I hate selling cars! GLWS
